Membership

Unfettered Mind’s resource library is open to all, free of charge, free of obligation, free of e-mail sign up. There is no membership, nor membership dues. Practitioners work out the training and practice that is most useful to them by drawing on the library. Then, through a combination of individual practice, individual study, and, it is to be hoped, periodic conversations with their own teacher or teachers, they find a way.

Volunteers

Except for a few essential functions (bookkeeping, accounting, legal work, website maintenance, etc.), almost all of the work to prepare material for the library or the website is done by volunteers. To help further the purpose of Unfettered Mind, that is, to help people find a way of practice, please contact us at volunteer@unfetteredmind.org with a description of the areas in which you would like to help and the skills and/or the experience you have in those areas.

Donations

Unfettered Mind is supported solely by the donations from those who:

  • share Unfettered Mind’s purpose and vision,
  • have benefitted personally from Unfettered Mind’s resources, books, and other offerings, or
  • wish to ensure that these resources remain available for future generations.

To make a donation (either one-time or recurring), please visit the donations page.

Newsletter

Unfettered Mind sends out a newsletter periodically — sometimes weekly, sometimes monthly, and sometimes not at all. Newsletters usually include news of recent additions to Unfettered Mind’s website and a practice tip drawn from Ken McLeod’s current work or previous writings. If there is an upcoming event, the newsletter is how you will find out about it. Unfettered Mind does not sell or lend the newsletter emailing list to any other person or entity.

You can sign up for the newsletter here.

What is expected of me and what can I expect of others?

Unfettered Mind has established an ethical framework as a description (not a prescription) for members of the board of directors, teachers,, students, supporters (including both donors and volunteers), and seekers associated with Unfettered Mind. Please read this code so you are clear about what is expected of you and what you can expect of others.

What do I do if I have a problem with Unfettered Mind?

Relationships are crucial to spiritual practice. At Unfettered Mind we are committed to appropriate and balanced relationships, between teacher and student, between supporters and the organization, between the board and society, and with seekers in general. However, in any relationship, problems may arise from time to time. While the best approach is to discuss and resolve any problem you have with the person or persons involved, this is not always possible. If you are not able to do so and feel the person (whether a teacher, a board member or a volunteer) has acted inappropriately, then Unfettered Mind has a process to address the matter.
